Rand is an entrepreneur and “hands on” operating executive with a unique combination of leadership skills, analytical strength, marketing savvy, sales experience, product vision, and technical depth. For over two decades his area of interest and success has been in building organizations and products that disrupt old sectors and forge new ones. He has a deep passion for evangelizing new ideas and is an Executive-in-Residence for New Media/Marketing at University of the Pacific; A director Emeritus and co-Founder of the Digital Marketing Association
He has been part of the founding team and an executive leading to two IPOs (Including WebSideStory/Adobe) and three successful acquisitions (Keylime/Yahoo, Unica/IBM). He has been a board member and advisor to many others including very large institutions like Qualcomm AR and SRI AI where he helped create Tempo, to smaller firms with vision.

Rand graduated with honors from University of the Pacific, SF, English and Journalism. He loves everything outdoors and is often sailing or on his mountain bike.
